Howard The Duck: Review
Finally, I’m gonna review a movie that MUST be remake, Howard The Duck. And, that’s right, I said “MUST” because this one can be funnier than the original one if you improve something I’m gonna point out here.
What I love about this film….
– Lea Thompson. She’s one of my favorite actress from 80’s and she’s very cute in this film.
– The plot. It sounds interesting except for the plot holes (see below).
– Soundtrack. Thomas Dolby songs are awesome and define 80’s.
– Duckworld. I don’t care what Nostalgia Critic said about this, it makes me chuckle! And, in fact, I think we should make a spin-off series about the adventure of Howard in the Duckland because you can satire and make fun of our real world in to the Duckworld.
Things that should be improved for the remake….
– Plot holes. There are TONS of plot holes here, like why some residents are scared of Howard and some don’t? or very complicated story about villains. It should be funnier if they improve these things.
– Inappropriate scenes. It’s PG, but it has scenes like Howard working in sex spa ( which couples are making love in front of the camera!), DuckTits scene from Duckworld, or, the most infamous one, Lea Thompson is about to have sex with Howard! (Yuck!) We should get rid of these scenes in the remake.
– Lame jokes. Alright, here’s another controversial one. For the Phil, an annoying scientist with the glasses, it’s tolerable because that’s the point of the movie, some jackass that you hate can be a hero. But for other support characters like the cop that tries to capture Howard because Howard is an “illegal alien” (get it? it’s a pun), I mean, come on!

Overall, it’s pretty entertaining and NOT as bad as anyone says. At least, the worst movie I’ve seen so far is either Transformers 3 or Ghost Rider 2.
Score: 3.5/5
